Appletree Afterschools can accommodate up to 52 children.
Our setting is divided into 5 designated areas set in the grounds of St Anne's Primary School, and is the perfect enviroment for an after schools club.
Main play room: Our children love spending time in this room working on puzzles, lego or playing with their friends both in the real world and far off in imaginary lands that often involves hot wheel car races through lego mazes or happy families in our kitchen area and home corner.
Art Room: This is where we hope to find the next Picasso, activities offered here include, but are not limited to, painting, drawing, clay work, bead work and so much more to develop your childs creative flair.
Main Hall: This is where we develop team skills the most fun! The loudest of the rooms and the most energetic. We offer Fundamental coaching programmes and Zumba.
At Appletree Afterschools, children are encouraged to develop new skills and have fun, to offset those hours spent behind desks during the school day.
Our setting offers them the opportunity to build friendships and develop skills every day (with the added bonus of burning off some extra energy before home time).
Chill out Zone : Most popular with our older children but not limited solely to their use, kitted out with bean bags, books and tablets. Our children enjoy chilling out here with activities such as table top games or simply talking with friends or reading a book.
Our aim is to creating a relaxing atmosphere allowing the children some down time after a tough day at school.
Homework Room : Faciliting homework is important to us. while we understand how important is is for parents to help with homework, we want parents to enjoy the time at home with their children without the need of worring about homework after 6:30pm. Let us take care of this with supervised homework's you can review with you child.
We have two staff members offering support to children whilst they complete their homework.
Snacks : We believe our children should have an input into the food they eat. We ask them on a weekly basis for snack ideas.
We also give them the opportunity to avail of some cooking time and allow them to create and bake a range of tasty treats for all the children, from cookies to cakes and buns to brownies our children can make it all.
We keep snacks balanced with fruit and ensure that where snacks are involved if the children don't like it they will be offered a suitable alternative.
